I am trying to keep these directions updated the best I can. A new road has opened up which has caused a lot of confusion coming down 29 south - mostly for people who are used to coming the old way. Unfortunately, they are very slow at updating all of the signs so it has caused problems from every direction. I have been told that these directions are the best yet!
Directions to Quilted Expressions - 3622 Old Forest Road, Lynchburg VA
If you are traveling 29N:
You will come to Lynchburg and pass the Lynchburg Airport. You will also be on Ward's Road which if you have not been here for a while, has grown tremendously! There is now a LARGE shopping area on this road. You will pass Target, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart and any restaurant known to man. The mall will be up on a hill to your right shortly after this area. Take a right hand exit for 501N; you will see the Good Will store just beyond the exit before you take it. In about 7 miles, you will go through an intersection with Billy Craft Honda on the left. You are now on Old Forest Road. A few blocks down 501 will turn off to the left - don't take that, stay straight on Old Forest Road. About one mile down you will pass BB&T bank on the left we are the next shopping center on the left right after the Baptist Church.
If you are traveling 29S:
Take 29 South from Charlottesville all the way to what seems like you have passed Lynchburg - avoid 29 Business and do not take any Lynchburg exits until after the James River. Take the Lynchburg/Danville exit where 29N will merge with 460 and also 501. Take the Candler's Mtn. Road/Buena Vista/ 501North exit. Follow 501N as it exits to the right after two lights. In about 7 miles, you will go through an intersection with Billy Craft Honda on the left. You are now on Old Forest Road. A few blocks down 501 will turn off to the left - don't take that, stay straight on Old Forest Road. About one mile down you will pass BB&T bank on the left we are the next shopping center on the left right after the Baptist Church.
If you are traveling 460E:
Follow the signs towards Appomattox. Do not take any Lynchburg or 460 Business exits! Take the left exit for Buena Vista/501N when you near Lynchburg. Go through two lights then take a right hand exit for 501N. In about 7 miles, you will go through an intersection with Billy Craft Honda on the left. You are now on Old Forest Road. A few blocks down 501 will turn off to the left - don't take that, stay straight on Old Forest Road. About one mile down you will pass BB&T bank on the left we are the next shopping center on the left right after the Baptist Church.
If you are traveling 221 from Bedford:
221 will intersect with 501 and turn into Lakeside Drive if you continue straight. Don't go straight, turn left - you will see the Billy Craft Honda dealer on the left. Take this left onto 501/Old Forest Road. A few blocks down 501 will turn off to the left (don't take it), stay straight on Old Forest Road. About one mile down you will pass BB&T bank on the left we are the next shopping center on the left right after the Baptist Church.
If you are traveling 460W:
Take the Candler's Mtn. Road/Buena Vista/ 501North exit. Follow 501N as it exits to the right after two lights.
