Quilters-

For 15 years the Rainbow of Hope gave the quilters in our area the opportunity to impact the community through the dinner and auction held ever year.

Three years ago that event ceased, and since then many quilters have felt the need to give back and because of that desire another event is in the birthing process.

You are cordially invited to be a participant in the Inaugural Timberlake Tavern Quilt Show and Auction that will hopefully take place April 25-27, 2024 at the Timberlake Tavern on Timberlake Drive.

We are trying to get quilt donation commitments and need the attached commitment form returned by August 15th so that we will know whether or not this event will take place.

We would like to have 60-70 quilts and our goal is to raise $15,000 for Isaiah House in Lynchburg and Quilts of Valor.

This is an effort to honor our veterans who have served our nation and to help those children who find themselves needing foster care through no fault of their own. ALL money raised will be divided between the 2 groups and will remain local. Hopefully we will be able to provide funds that will completely cover the grocery budget for an entire year for Isaiah House, and then cover the costs of 30 Quilts of Valor that are awarded locally.

We will be emailing everyone who returns a form and letting them know the details of the event once we know that we have enough participation to make it happen.

If you find that you cannot donate a quilt- it can be any size- but may want to make a table runner or some other fabric creation, there will also be a Quilt Shoppe at the event that will have smaller items for those who may not be able to get a quilt.

There will be quilts for sale and then some that will be auctioned. Again, all the details will be forthcoming. We just need commitments by August 15th so that we can begin the massive task of planning on Aug 17th.

Thank you for generous hearts!
